We then enjoyed shopping at the Khan Khalili Bazaar, with unique souvenirs that were loving. The lunch was very well arranged and the Egyptian cuisine was really amazing. On this tour, our guide Hoda, who is fluent in Japanese, showed us around. I had a very fulfilling time visiting the temples and ruins of ancient Egypt, hearing many interesting stories. A fantastic way to see the Pyramids & the best of Cairo’s sites all in one day. My wife & I were collected from our cruise ship at the entrance to the Port of Alexandria, & spent the transfers to and from Cairo in a private & air-conditioned super-clean vehicle. Accompanying us was our driver, & our guide & Egyptologist Khaled.
Khaled was a wealth of information, & being only 2 of us, we really tailored our time at Giza to suit ourselves. After the incredible pyramids & Sphinx, it was on to a great lunch at a traditional Egyptian restaurant, followed by Khaled’s guided tour of the museum.
Then some market time, a quick visit to see some traditional papyrus making, & it was back to Alexandria. Khaled at all times conscious of any time deadlines re our cruise ship.
This was a really excellently run, detailed, & excellent value tour, which I’d highly recommend. Great stuff.

We had an incredible day travelling to Cairo to visit the pyramids and museum from Alexandria Port. The communication from Hassan our guide was clear and concise regarding our pick up location and time. There were eleven of us on the tour from six different countries. Hassan and our driver simply couldn’t have done more to make our day more enjoyable or comfortable. Hassan worked tirelessly and effortlessly all day and communicated with excellent English. He had genuine empathy and concern for when older participants struggled physically in the heat and was flexible in making accommodations to ensure their comfort. A local to Cairo, Hassan was extremely knowledgeable about the pyramids and history and knew the best vantage spots for photos. He was also a willing photographer. Buffet Lunch at a local restaurant was generous and efficient.
The new museum is architecturally impressive and we enjoyed a highly informative audio tour with Hassan again navigating the most efficient route to maximise our experience. There was even an offer of shopping on route back to Alexandria but the majority were too tired.
Driver was friendly & competent, vehicle was modern and air conditioned & we felt safe all day. Cold water was on offer throughout and plenty of comfort stops.
100% recommend tour and Hassan should be commended.

Our guide made this tour for us. Moamen or the “Rockstar guide” is what we called him. He seemed to know everyone and looked after us so well.We started with the Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza.He made sure we had everything we needed all day. He took excellent photos for us. The day trip from Alexandria to Cairo Pyramids is a wonderful experience. For first time visitor to Alexandria, this trip cannot be missed.
Although the trip lasts more than 12 hours, it is well organized. The coach is comfortable and well air-conditioned.
The Pyramids of Gaza are amazing. We were able to take our time to explore three Pyramids as well as Great Sphinx without rushing. The new Great Egyptian Museum is such a spectacular one. You can spend a whole day inside, unfortunately we only have limited time to visit.
Special thanks to our Guide Hasan. He is a very knowledgeable gentle man. He took great care of all visitors. He explained to us in details about Egypt history and provided useful information about the sites we visited. Hasan made our day trip a great success.

We came from the cruise ship, and booked this on our own. It was a great trip. Others on the big Cruise ship tour had to wait two hours later than us because of fog and road closure. We were able to take a back road. The guide was very informed and obviously loved history of Egypt. After purchasing tickets to get into the area of pyramids, be aware that to get closer to them you are asked to pay $20 more for a camel ride - a bit of a racket - but we did it anyway. The museum afterwards was also wonderful, and more time there would have been great. It is quite a long drive to and from the cruise port.

A wonderful loong day out . It is a very long day 13 hours , at least 6 of which are spent travelling. Rest stops are provided.
We booked this trip as an excursion from the cruise ship. Meetup was easy after crossing the bridge and exiting the port and this is explained via what’s app the day before.
Ahmed our guide was fabulous and our driver the same. We could have been involved in lengthy delays due to road closures (3hours) but avoided these due to expert local knowledge.
The pyramids of Giza and the sphinx were beyond our expectations and we had plenty of time to explore all that we wished to see. Truly Amazing experience. Our Egyptologist guide Ahmed, explained everything in as much detail as we needed and was happy to answer any questions.
We did go for a camel ride(extra) but so worth it for the photos. We also went inside the pyramid( also extra) Choose this carefully, it is hot ,cramped, claustrophobic and unforgettable for the wrong reasons. Do not do this without googling it first. It is not like a small cave Just a caution. We found it very very unpleasant.
Lunch was tasty and plentiful (not a buffet)
We did not see the new great Egyptian museum as stated as it was due to open soon and was closed , but the National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation was exceptional with at least 20 mummies and many artefacts from all of Egypt’s history. Exactly what we wanted to see.

Dalla was friendly, knowledgeable and spoke great English. We began the tour at the Giza Pyramid complex. Then we ate lunch at a fabulous local restaurant and then on to the Egyptian Museum.
Dalla studied history for 8 years, so she really knew her subject. She even taught us how to read Hiorglyaphs.

Solo travel for me is about immersion and this tour allowed that the admission to lesser known spots like a local papyrus institute was a nice touch my visit there was informative and lasted about an hour the atmosphere was more casual and educational the crowd was just our small tour group the institute staff gave a live demonstration which was fascinating best for solo travelers interested in local crafts and culture beyond just monuments a short story at the papyrus institute I tried my hand at painting a hieroglyph on a small piece the artist gently corrected my brushstroke it was a humbling and fun hands on moment that resulted in a unique personal souvenir far better than any generic gift shop item
